Ashtanga Yoga
Ashtanga Yoga is a dynamic and structured practice that links breath with movement in a precise sequence of postures. Rooted in tradition and discipline, this method builds strength, flexibility, stamina, and mental focus through a set series of poses performed in a flowing, meditative rhythm.
In this class, students follow one of the six traditional series—most often beginning with the Primary Series (Yoga Chikitsa), designed to detoxify the body and align the musculoskeletal system.
What to Expect:
-
A consistent sequence of poses practiced regularly
-
Emphasis on Tristhana: breath (pranayama), posture (asana), and gaze (drishti)
-
Physically demanding movements with a meditative quality
-
Focus on internal heat, purification, and discipline
-
Development of strength, flexibility, and mental clarity
